This species has avoided the human eye as it is quite cryptic on the sponge it feeds on. It was previously thought to be a member of the genus Rostanga.
The body is greyish with a complex network of grey lines, matching the lines on its sponge prey. The rhinophores are white. The gill is grey and its branches curve inward.
Mike's finding in the Philippines extends it's known range from earlier documentation in Papua New Guinea.
